  Yellowjacket Brooch with Druzy, Prehnite and Pink Sapphires by Keri Ataumbi
 
 
Stunning yellowjacket brooch by award-winning Kiowa artist Keri Ataumbi has an ethereal quality. The open, jointed segment design features a satiny sterling silver and 22k gold yellowjacket arching over a triangular setting of cloudlike Hemimorphite Druzy in 18k gold with pink sapphires dotting the points and a dangling teardrop of Prehnite Chalcedony set in 18k gold at the base. Ataumbi finishes the back of the bezel for the swinging Prehnite with a mokume gane mixed metal design. She crafts the brooch using two tie tack pins along the yellowjacket's body to allow for more versatility in wearing.
