Ingot Coin Silver Cuff by Vernon Tracy

Ingot Coin Silver Cuff by Vernon Tracy

Historically-inspired, wide ingot coin silver cuff by recently deceased Navajo silversmith Vernon Tracy. Tracy enthusiastically embraced the traditional, labor intensive methods of his ancestors. He used an old fashioned bellow casting method to melt coins into liquid silver to pour into ingots. He then hammered out the ingots to the desired thickness. Inspired by classic early Navajo designs, this cuff features a central repoussé button flanked by long repoussé elliptical forms and is embellished with graceful stamp work.

5 ¼" around inside, 1 ½" opening
