Craig Agoodie

Craig Agoodie is a Navajo artist known by some as “The King of Bezels.”

Born on September 6th, 1978 in Pinon, Arizona, Craig began silversmithing from an early age.  After observing his father, Craig made his first ring at 14 years old.  By the time he was 18, he was making bracelets while experimenting with gold.  One of his early influences was from Albert Nells who told him to come up with his own designs which Craig took to heart.  By 30, Craig worked in a jewelry shop where he mainly worked on casting and rolling ingots.

Craig begins each of his pieces by creating a sterling silver ingot, rolling it into a heavy gauge, then chiseling and filing each groove by hand.  This labor intensive and time consuming task helps create the signature bezel that defines many of Craig’s pieces.
