This piece features a large Blue Gem turquoise cabochon set into the top of the box made by Fred Peshlakai. A talented Navajo silversmith, Peshlakai was one of the first Native Americans to own and operate his own business. Working out of his shop in Los Angeles, he produced consistently high-quality work set with top-grade turquoise.
