Vintage Zuni Multi-Stone Inlay and Sterling Silver Knifewing Sun God Kachina Pin


Circa 1940’s, this vintage sterling silver Zuni Knifing Sun God Kachina pin with multi-stone inlay is in fabulous condition. The form takes shape with a combination of: mother of pearl, spondylus shell, natural turquoise, and jet. The Knifewing Dancer is a half man – half eagle Zuni spirit god with razor sharp feathers made of flint and is the hero of many folk tales. The Sunface is an important cultural symbol of the Zuni people and represents the Sun Father, one of their three main deities.
