Early in her career, Samora began a rigorous apprenticeship with Phil Poirier, a world-renowned craftsman. Here she learned the techniques and methodologies that she uses today. Her designs don’t follow the usual strictures of sketching on paper. Instead, her approach demands a more intuitive process. Her designs stem from the hands-on manipulation of the stones and metals, textures and patinas. Backed by a passion for Renaissance, Byzantine, and ancient jewelry, she shapes her inspirations and ideas directly into highly original works of striking beauty.
