Elegant Vessels Book

This canister is related to tobacco use. Cigarette and match boxes, matchbook covers, and a large humidor would have met the needs of travelers making their way across the American Southwest. Boxes were often commissioned; the one shown here bears initials rendered in turquoise. The previous owner of the box with the initials “C. B.” is unknown.
